City Council Meeting Minutes September 6,2016 <br /> For: 6- Mayor Pro-Tern Thomaides, Council Member Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br /> Prewitt, Council Member Hughson, Council Member Derrick and Council Member <br /> Gregson <br /> Against: 0 <br /> Absent: 1 - Mayor Guerrero <br /> 20. 7:00PM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br /> for or against Ordinance 2016-37 amending the rates for both Residential and <br /> Multifamily Customers of Municipal Solid Waste Programs in accordance with Section <br /> 66.028 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances; including procedural provisions; and <br /> declaring an effective date; and consider approval of Ordinance 2016-37, on the first <br /> of two readings. <br /> Heather Hurlbert provided the Council with a presentation that covered Items <br /> #16-20 during Item# 16. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Thomaides opened the Public Hearing at 8:38 p.m. <br /> There being no comments, Mayor Pro Tern Thomaides closed the Public <br /> Hearing at 8:38 p.m. <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Gregson, seconded by Deputy Mayor <br /> Pro Tem Prewitt, to approve Ordinance 2016-37, on the first of two readings. <br /> The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> For: 6- Mayor Pro-Tern Thomaides, Council Member Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br /> Prewitt, Council Member Hughson, Council Member Derrick and Council Member <br /> Gregson <br /> Against: 0 <br /> Absent: 1 - Mayor Guerrero <br /> 21. 7:00PM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br /> for or against Ordinance 2016-29 (ZC-16-10), amending the Official Zoning Map of the <br /> City by rezoning a 6.57 acre, more or less, tract of land out of Lots 2 and 5 of the <br /> Springtown VI Subdivision, located at 200 Springtown Way, from "GC" General <br /> Commercial District to "VMU" Vertical Mixed Use District; and including procedural <br /> provisions; and consider approval of Ordinance 2016-29, on the first of two readings. <br /> Shannon Mattingly,Direcor of Planning and Development Services,provided <br /> the Council with a brief presentation. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Thomaides opened the Public Hearing at 8:46 p.m. <br /> Buck Cody, Endeavor Retail Group, thanked the Council for their positive <br /> City of San Marcos Page 10 <br />
