Taylor <br />Ron Patterson <br />Others Present: Kim Doherty, Collette Duran, Melissa Millecam, Mario Gutierrez, Peter Brown, <br />Mark Lambdin, Jake Isaac, Jack Weatherford, Carol Grimm, Camille Phillips, Peggy Michalec <br />and others. <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore stated the ten-minute citizen comment period was not on the agenda (because this <br />is not a Regular Meeting); however he asked if anyone wished to speak. Betsy Robertson stated <br />she supports the staff recommendations for the strip of land on Ranch Road 12. Chris North, <br />representative of the Westover addition, stated she would like the greenbelt land use in Westover <br />changed back to "yellow" or leave it for parkland. She stated the area does not need any more <br />apartments. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.97 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 426 LINDA DRIVE FROM "C" <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "MH" MOBILE HOME DISTRICT; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Ben Schleder <br />stated this zoning change occupies eight spaces and the sketch was designed to occupy ten. He <br />stated he would like to withdraw his application until this discrepancy could be corrected. There <br />were no other speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Patterson stated he felt <br />the way the Ordinance was worded that ten spaces could be allowed. Mr. Guerra moved to table <br />the item until the correction could be made and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing. and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 0.74 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 240 COMAL STREET FROM <br />"I" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the pubic hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the <br />Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
