Mr. Jim Byrn, <br />Byrn & Associates, stated he was there to represent the Heritage Company. He stated there had <br />been some significant changes made to \Vonder \Vodd Drive since the 1988 wfaster Plan was <br />adopted and he felt this zoning change would complement the area. Mayor Moore asked what <br />the width of the right-of-way would be to Stagecoach Drive. Mr. Byrn stated it would be 70 feet <br />(4 lanes). He stated that before the first phase of the single-family residential goes in, the <br />Stagecoach extension would be complete. Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra <br />asked who owned the property. Mr. Byrn stated the primary owners of the property were j\;fr. <br />George Alexander and Andrew Gary but they intended to sell the property to the Heritage <br />Company, out of Florida, if the zoning change occurs. Ms. Hughson expressed concern about a <br />full intersection at Stagecoach Drive since the Texas Department of Transportation has said they <br />would not signalize this intersection due to the proximity of the Wonder Wodd signal. Mr. <br />Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance and j\;fr. No one did, so <br />Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for approval of the Ordinance on first <br />reading and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA1'f MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUAt'fCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, WATERWORKS At'fD SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, SERIES <br />1996, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $7,500,000.00; <br />PRESCRIBING THE FO&\1 OF SAID BONDS; A \V ARDING THE SALE THEREOF; <br />APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEj\fENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS ~. <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING At'f EMERGENCY.
