Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINAt'fCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN w1ARCOS, TEXAS, Atv:ŒNDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING r--' At'f 18.2 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 500 BLOCK OF ¡ \-VONDER WORLD DRIVE FROM "PD" PRE-DEVELOPj\fENT DISTRICT TO "R-2" {~ SINGLE-F AtvfIL Y DWELLING DISTRICT (NfEDIUM DENSITY); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Mr. Jim Byrn, Byrn & Associates, stated he was there to represent the Heritage Company. He stated there had been some significant changes made to \Vonder \Vodd Drive since the 1988 wfaster Plan was adopted and he felt this zoning change would complement the area. Mayor Moore asked what the width of the right-of-way would be to Stagecoach Drive. Mr. Byrn stated it would be 70 feet (4 lanes). He stated that before the first phase of the single-family residential goes in, the Stagecoach extension would be complete. Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra asked who owned the property. Mr. Byrn stated the primary owners of the property were j\;fr. George Alexander and Andrew Gary but they intended to sell the property to the Heritage Company, out of Florida, if the zoning change occurs. Ms. Hughson expressed concern about a full intersection at Stagecoach Drive since the Texas Department of Transportation has said they would not signalize this intersection due to the proximity of the Wonder Wodd signal. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance and j\;fr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore opened the pubic hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA1'f MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUAt'fCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, WATERWORKS At'fD SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1996, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $7,500,000.00; PRESCRIBING THE FO&\1 OF SAID BONDS; A \V ARDING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEj\fENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS ~. RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING At'f EMERGENCY. I I I Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ñfr. Cox seconded the - - motion.
