1.0.6 Any provisions in this Agreement pertaining to the City's review, approval and/or <br /> acceptance of written materials prepared by the Consultant and/or its subconsultants, contractors, <br /> and subcontractors in connection with this Agreement will not diminish the Consultant's <br /> responsibility for the materials. <br /> 1.0.7 The Consultant will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The <br /> Consultant will advise the City of data and information the Consultant needs to perform its services <br /> and the Consultant will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble <br /> this data and information. <br /> 1.0.8 Sandra Khoury, P.E., Principal / Regional Utility Manager, is the Consultant's Project <br /> Representative assigned to this Project. The Consultant will not substitute another representative <br /> for this Project unless approved in writing by the City in advance of such proposed substitution. <br /> In the event the City and the Consultant cannot agree to the substitution of the Project <br /> Representative,the City may terminate this agreement in accordance with Article 8. <br /> 1.1 BASIC SERVICES <br /> The Consultant will: <br /> 1.1.1 Electronic Base Map—Create an electronic base map that defines the overall limits of the <br /> Project. This Consultant will develop this map in a DWG format from all available sources, <br /> including aerial imagery, available San Marcos Electric Utility ("SMEU") electrical system .shp <br /> files, public domain ESRI mapping info, and other sources of information readily available from <br /> the City. The Consultant will use the overview file to illustrate the location and limits of each <br /> proposed segment of conversion,and will serve as a legend to place each strip map within context. <br /> 1.1.2 Conceptual Underground Distribution Plan—Develop a conceptual design for underground <br /> distribution infrastructure within the Project area, roughly equivalent to the existing SMEU aerial <br /> facilities. <br /> 1,1,3 Preliminary Segment Plan — Review SMEU's existing and proposed electrical <br /> infrastructure. In addition,the Consultant will prepare a Preliminary Segment Plan that will break <br /> out proposed segments of future construction, including recommended beginning and ending <br /> points <br /> 1.1.4 Comprehensive Cost Estimate—Prepare a comprehensive cost estimate for each proposed <br /> segment identified in the Preliminary Segment Plan. The Consultant will base the cost estimate <br /> on high level material take-off, utilizing the following sets of assumptions: <br /> a. Estimated incremental costs for various duct bank configurations; <br /> b. Average estimate for the incremental costs to remove and restore service <br /> improvements; <br /> c. Average estimate for the incremental cost to convert aerial service drops; <br /> Cobb Fendley Downtown District Distribution Study 12/20/2016 <br /> 2 <br />
