d. Estimated incremental cost to adapt existing service entrances to accommodate an <br /> underground source; and <br /> e. Estimated cost to replace existing streetlight locations with underground light standard. <br /> 1.1.5 Research Similar OH to UG Conversions-Research various options to fund the conversion <br /> Project and solicit"lessons learned" from other cities who have undertaken similar projects <br /> 1.1.6 Comprehensive Report- Produce a comprehensive report to provide a written narrative of <br /> the following: <br /> a. A High level summary of estimated costs for the proposed conversion; <br /> b. The Preliminary Segment Plan for breaking down proposed conversion construction; <br /> c. Challenges and relative impact for each proposed construction segment; and <br /> d. Recommendations for funding options and lessons learned feedback from similar <br /> projects. <br /> 1.1.7 Integration into Smart Code Development - Evaluate how the proposed conversion plan <br /> will fit in with the Smart Code development presently used by the City. In addition the Consultant <br /> will include findings in the Comprehensive Report. <br /> 1.1.8 City Council Presentation - Prepare and present an Executive Summary of the <br /> Comprehensive Report to the San Marcos City Council at a regularly scheduled City Council <br /> Meeting. The summary will be a condensed version of the detailed report (Subsection 1.1.6) for <br /> use by City leadership in the decision making and public engagement process. In the report, the <br /> Consultant will include a summarized analysis of the cost associated with each line segment to be <br /> converted, and will describe the associated challenges and benefits, but will otherwise remain as <br /> concise and easily understandable as possible. <br /> 1.2 ADDITIONAL SERVICES/CHANGE OR DELAY IN SERVICES/PROJECT <br /> ASSUMTPIONS <br /> 1.2.1 The City may direct the Consultant to perform services outside of the scope of the Basic <br /> Services described in Section 1.1 above. The Consultant will submit a written estimate of fees to <br /> the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional services. <br /> 1.2.2 Each material change(deletion or addition)in the services to be provided by the Consultant <br /> must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br /> Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br /> specified for Basic Services in accordance with Article 13 of this Agreement. The approval of the <br /> San Marcos City Council is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br /> exceeds $50,000.00. <br /> 1.2.3 The Consultant,will complete its Services in accordance with the schedule negotiated with <br /> the City and has taken into consideration and made allowance for all hindrances and delays <br /> incident to such work, whether growing out of delays in securing material, workers, weather or <br /> Cobb Fendley Downtown District Distribution Study 12/20/2016 <br /> 3 <br />
