115
Regular Meeting July 8,-1996 Page 8
Mayor Moore introduced the City Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor had
no report at this meeting.
Mayor Moore introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Ms. Hughson
asked if the City had received information from the Texas Department
of Transportation when the public hearings would be held. Ms.
Huffman advised we have not yet received that information. Ms.
Hughson stated the City needs to establish our priorities and thinks
the hearings are generally held mid-July. Mr. Gilley stated he can
prepare a Resolution for the next meeting of the Council's
priorities listing. It was consensus of Council for the Resolution
to be considered at the next meeting. (2) Mr. Cox stated the
Council Neighborhood Association was to receive a presentation from
the City regarding the status of the surface water treatment plant
and related issues on Thursday evening and asked who would make the
presentation. Mr. Gilley advised he was going to.
Mayor Moore introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the
Government Code, Section 551.071, to discuss pending litigation
(Sierra Club vs. San Antonio), contemplated litigation (Westover
drainage improvements), and matters where the City Attorney's
ethical duty to the City clearly conflicts with Government Còde
Chapter 551 (Health Code Ordinance revisions; Heritage Subdivision
infill development proposal; Westover area infill development
proposal); and Sections 551.072 and 551.073, to discuss purchase of
real property (surface water treatment plant). Mr. Hart moved to
adjourn into Executive Session at 10:29 p.m. and Mr. Guerra seconded
the motion, which passed unanimously.
Mr. Guerra moved to reconvene at 12:18 a.m. and Mr. Hernandez
seconded the motion.
The meeting adjourned at 12:18 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Hernandez
and seconded by Mr. Mihalkanin.
'- D~S'.
