Mr. Hernandez expressed concern with <br />this change and stated the time limit could have a change. It would <br />create a hardship on him to do so on a regular basis. Ms. Hughson <br />and Mr. Mihalkanin stated it was their understanding the discussion <br />could continue later in the meeting if needed. The Council did not wish to reconsider the Ordinance. <br />The caption of the Ordinance reads as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />AN 18.2 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 500 BLOCK OF <br />WONDER WORLD DRIVE, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO <br />IR-2" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]); <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held May 13, 1996/ approval of an Ordinance on <br />second reading, adoption of three Ordinances on third and final <br />reading, and adoption of eleven Resolutions on consensus. The <br />Council removed Item 8.A./ approval of the May 13, 1996 minutes, <br />Item 8.C. (1), adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, <br />. and Items 8.D. (8), 8.D. (9), 8.D. (10) and 8.D. (11), adoption of <br />; Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Guerra moved for <br />I approval of the Ordinance on second reading, adoption of the two <br />remaining Ordinances on third and final reading, and adoption of the <br />remaining seven Resolutions on consensus, and Mr. Cox seconded the <br />motion, which passed unaninously. The captions of these Ordinances <br />and Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS/ CHANGING THE NAME OF GILLETT STREET TO BURLESON STREET <br />BETWEEN BURLESON STREET AND PROSPECT STREET; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS/ AMENDING ARTICLE 3 OF CHAPTER 86/ UTILITIES, OF THE SAN <br />MARCOS CITY CODE BY ADDING DIVISION 3/ ON-SITE SEWAGE <br />FACILITIES; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 74.087 OF THE CITY CODE TO PROVIDE <br />t EXCEPTIONS TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT STREETS AND ALLEYS BE <br />; ABANDONED ONLY IN WHOLE SEGMENTS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />I PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Adoption of Resolutions: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING A COMPROMISE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />SEGUIN STATE BANK & TRUST CO., THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND OTHER <br />PARTIES CONCERNING THE PULS FAMILY TRUST¡ AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
