John Hemingway, American <br /> Foundation of Elderly Deaf, wants to connect their construction project to the city's sewage <br /> treatment plant in the Clovis Barker Street area. He stated they were looking forward to being a <br /> part ofthe San Marcos community and they would begin their project in September or October. <br /> Col. Tom Arledge stated he did not feel the Council needed to pass an Ordinance regarding gun <br /> control in the city facilities because the government had already passed the law with certain <br /> restrictions. He felt this would be a contravention of citizens' rights. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for approval a board appointment to the Historic Preservation <br /> Commission to represent the Downtown District. No nominations were received so this <br /> appointment will be filled at the next Council meeting. <br /> ---- Mayor Morris introduced for approval two board appointments to the Senior Citizens Facilities <br /> , Advisory Board. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Lyn Gravitz, which passed unanimously. The <br /> \. other àppointment will be filled at the next Council meeting. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for approval a board appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments <br /> and Appeals. No nominations were received so this appointment will be filled at the next Council <br /> meeting. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for approval a board appointment to the San Marcos Electric Utility <br /> Board. Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Mike Mercado, which passed unanimously. <br /> * Mr. Taylor not present at this meeting. <br />
