City Council Meeting Minutes February 7,2017 <br /> established. Allow existing CUPs to be grandfathered is fine. She asked that <br /> the Council rethink the SmartCode, revamp it, and make it work for San <br /> Marcos. She stated that if P&Z was not provided accurate information during <br /> the process then please fix it. <br /> Sarah Lee Underwood Myers, asked the Council to deny Item #7 and Item #14. <br /> She spoke about Bobcat Build and how they are now taking applications. She <br /> also addressed the Gumby's CUP appeal and stated that she loved Gumby's <br /> but her problem is with the mixed beverage, and asked the Council to strike it <br /> down. <br /> Marianne Moore, addressed the Council regarding the Gumby's CUP Appeal. <br /> She stated that she has no doubts that the owners are great people, but she is <br /> concerned with the establishment serving alcohol. She said that the current <br /> location on Guadalupe Street is not very attractive and read comments that <br /> were posted about them on social media. She said that she doubts that they <br /> will run a much better operation at the new location. <br /> Francesca O'Connor, addressed the Council as a Licensed Dependency <br /> Counselor in the building next to the proposed Gumby's location. She <br /> provided her background and now when her clients leave her office and they <br /> are already struggling with addiction having a place serving alcohol right next <br /> door would be very difficult for them. She asked the Council to take that into <br /> consideration. <br /> Fatima Cardenas, address the Council as an applicant for the San Marcos <br /> Youth Commission and provided her qualifications for servicing on the board. <br /> She wishes to make a change and to give back and would like to the Council's <br /> positive consideration. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Gregson, seconded by Council <br /> Member Derrick, to approve the consent agenda,with the exception of items# <br /> 5 and 6,which were pulled and considered separately. The motion carried by <br /> the following vote: <br /> For: 7- Mayor Thomaides, Council Member Gonzales, Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson, Council <br /> Member Derrick, Council Member Gregson, Council Member Mihalkanin and <br /> Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt <br /> Against: 0 <br /> 3.
