Attachment A <br />Reconstruction of the San Marcos Playscape <br />This Project involves the Consultant's provision of professional design services in <br />connection with the reconstruction of the San Marcos Playscape which was originally <br />constructed in 1992. The Consultant will provide services to include project design, <br />administration, and post -construction documentation and analysis, and those related professional <br />services deemed necessary by the City. <br />I. SCOPE OF CONSULTANT'S BASIC SERVICES <br />The Consultant will: <br />A. Task 1— Design Development. <br />1. Review with the City the design parameters for the new design of the Project. The <br />Consultant will also solicit City and public feedback in a design session and prepare <br />a schematic design. In addition, the Consultant will review the schematic design with <br />the City and finalize any design changes. This task includes two on-site visits, one <br />for the initial design and one for final approval. <br />2. Prepare a materials list and specifications for the Project for City review and <br />approval. The Consultant will provide the City with a materials list along with the <br />drawings and specifications identified in 3) below for inclusion in the bid documents. <br />The Consultant is not be responsible for purchasing or delivering materials necessary <br />for the construction of the Project. <br />3. Prepare the necessary working drawings and specifications setting forth the <br />requirements for the construction of the Project in a manner that conforms with <br />current safety and accessibility guidelines and standards as set forth in ASTM F1487, <br />Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for <br />Public Use, ("ASTM F1487") and ASTM F1951, Standard Specification for <br />Determination of Accessibility of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground <br />Equipment ("ASTM F1951") standards, United States Consumer Product Safety <br />Commission Publication 4325 ("CPSC Pub. 4325"). In addition, the Consultant will <br />ensure that the drawings and specifications prepared under this subsection comply <br />with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA").
