City Council Meeting Minutes April 18,2017 <br /> Council reconvened into open session at 5:50 p.m. Council proceeded to Item <br /> #27 which is the action item related to Project Enfield. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> 3. Receive an update from the Interim City Manager regarding the storm event that <br /> occurred on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, and provide direction to Staff. <br /> Charles Daniels,Interim City Manager, provided the Council with a <br /> presentation regarding the storm event that occured on April 11,2017. <br /> Discussion was held regarding the screening behind Olive Garden in the Sunset <br /> Acres Neighborhood. Staff will follow up on how the new HEB property on <br /> Wonder World Drive was impacted. Discussion was held regarding follow up <br /> with dssemination of the website and a phone number to allow those to report <br /> damage. Discussion was held regarding plans for bulky waste pick-ups and <br /> debris removal. Staff to look at dumpsters and their enclosures for those that <br /> may be nonconforming. <br /> 4. Receive a Staff presentation of the Annual Report for the Main Street Program, and <br /> provide direction to Staff. <br /> Samantha Armbruster,Main Street Program Manager, provided the Council <br /> with their Annual Report. <br /> 5. Receive an update from the Affordable Housing Sub Committee regarding short-term <br /> rentals, and provide direction to Staff. <br /> Mayor Thomaides provided the Council with a brief update letting the Council <br /> know that they will be waiting until the State Legislature completes their <br /> session due to the Short Term Rental Bills that have been filed. They plan to <br /> bring something back to the Council in the July time frame. <br /> 6:00 PM <br /> V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br /> Roland Saucedo, addressed the Council regarding the Residential Parking <br /> Program petition that was circulated by Johnny Garcia and explained how he <br /> and his cousin Esther Garcia went door to door in the neighborhood with <br /> another petition recanting the previously submitted on by Johnny Garcia. One <br /> hundred percent of the signers of the earlier petition recanted their support for <br /> the creation of the Residential Parking Program Area. <br /> Paul Murray, spoke in support of the Parks Ordinance that will address the <br /> short-term solutions such as overcrowding in our river parks.
