SECTION 4. Section 58.041 is hereby amended as follows: <br />Sec. 58.041. Use of barbeque grills, pits or other cooking appliances. <br />(a) The depaftment dimetor may, in order- to pfeteet the publie's health, safety <br />notiee at the main epAfanee of the f4eility, pafk, trail head or other- eE) <br />loeation. In a city park or natural area, it is unlawful for a person to: <br />(1) Use any type of electric cooking appliance, except in facilities approved by <br />the director. <br />(2) Use any type of charcoal or wood cooking appliance,rg ill, pit, smoker, or <br />apparatus. <br />(3) Use any type of cooker, fryer, or other oil-based appliance for cooking or <br />heatingfood. <br />ood. <br />(4) Have or use any type of open flame other than for the purpose of lighting a <br />propane grill. <br />(5) Have or use a propane grill at any location other than at a department - <br />provided fixed picnic table. <br />(6) Use anytype of grill or cooking device within five feet of a combustible <br />object. <br />(7) Have a propane tank in excess of 20 pounds. <br />(b) One propane grill or portable propane cook stove is permitted at each <br />department provided fixed picnic table. <br />(c) The director may permit uses in subsection (a) for designated events as part <br />of the special event permit. <br />(d) The director may, in order to protect the public's health, safety or welfare, <br />or preserve city park resources, place restrictions on the use of barbequerg ills, <br />containers or other cooking appliances in city parks and facilities by postingnotice <br />at the main entrance of the facility, park, trail head or other conspicuous location. <br />SECTION 5. Section 58.042 is hereby amended as follows: <br />Sec. 58.042. Styrofoam produets prohibited Prohibited Items. <br />
