Ms. Hughson <br />moved to reappoint Carol Coughlin, Mayor Moore moved to appoint <br />Doris Golgin, and Mr. Moseley moved to reappoint Sue Williams, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of five <br />appointments to the Downtown Parking Advisory Committee. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin moved to appoint Lupe Carbajal (Downtown <br />Association), Mayor Moore moved to appoint Leellen Brigman <br />(SWTSU), and Mr. Cox moved to appoint Viola Stillman (Main <br />Street Advisory Board) and Steven Flores (Hays County), which <br />passed unanimously. The at-large position will be rescheduled <br />at the next meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY <br />ZONING THREE TRACTS OF PROPERTY TOTALING 123.52 ACRES, <br />LOCATED IN THE 1500 AND 1600 BLOCKS OF CLOVIS BARKER DRIVE <br />TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT), AND BY ZONING A 22.15 <br />ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF CLOVIS <br />BARKER DRIVE TO "I" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak.
