DIVISION 6: TRANSITIONAL PROTECTIVE <br />YARDS <br />A transitional protective yard is required to ensure <br />adequate transition and compatibility between adjacent <br />land uses. When Classification Types EC or CT -5 are directly <br />adjacent to CT -4, a Type A or Type B yard shall be selected <br />and constructed as a transition. <br />A. Transitional protective yards shall be installed at the <br />time of development of non -single-family uses. <br />B. The following standards shall apply when services are <br />visible from PID funded streets or streets required on <br />the thoroughfare plan. <br />1. Trash and recycling collection and other similar <br />service areas must be screened on 3 sides and <br />enclosed with a solid gate and no portion of any <br />dumpster shall be visible above the required <br />screening. <br />2. Roof mounted utilities and mechanical equipment <br />must be screened with an architectural building <br />element. <br />3.
