<br /> (2t¡/1 <br /> Page 2 of 12. <br /> ARTICLE 1 <br /> THE PROJECT <br /> 1.01 The scope of the work covered by this Agreement (the "Project") is the design <br /> and construction of wastewater system improvements necessary to connect Gary Job <br /> Corps Center ("Gary") to the City's wastewater treatment facilities. In addition, an <br /> evaluation of Gary's system infiltration and inflow, and a remediation plan based on the <br /> evaluation is included in the scope of work covered by the Project. The utility <br /> improvements will consist primarily of a gravity flow main, lift station and force main. <br /> ARTICLE 2 <br /> PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> . <br /> 2.01 The parties designate and authorize the City to act as the Project Manager <br /> ("Project Manager") during the Project design and construction. <br /> 2.02 The Project Manager will provide the following services: <br /> (a) Retain the services of a Professional Engineer ("Engineer") licensed <br /> and registered in the State of Texas to develop, design and construct <br /> the Project. <br /> (b) Execute a Professional Services Agreement with the Engineer <br /> outlining the services to be provided and the compensation to be <br /> received by the Engineer. The services provided by the Engineer will <br /> include at a minimum the following: <br /> (1) Designing the Project and preparing all Project Documents; <br /> (2) Evaluating Gary system infiltration and inflow, and preparation <br /> of a remediation plan; <br /> (3) Coordinating plan, specification and other applicable Project <br /> c :\0 F FIe E\WPWI N\WP DO C SI.IMR I 0.0 R 0\00 L -AMD .MR K <br />
