Don Garrett will serve as the Real Estate Community representative and Handler Smith will serve as the Development Community representative. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to nominate Scott Walker and Mr. Moseley moved to nominate William De Soto. On roll call the following vote was recorded: Walker: Doiron, Moore, Cox, Hernandez, Mihalkanin, Hughson. De Soto: Moseley. Scott Walker will serve as a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Mr. Doiron moved to nominate Patrick Kirwin, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.92 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1727 RANCH ROAD 12 FROM "c" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "C-2" HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Doiron moved to deny the adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing.
