<br />177 <br />Regular Meeting May 10,1999 Page 2 <br />Miller: Moseley, Hernandez. <br />Don Garrett will serve as the Real Estate Community representative and Handler Smith will <br />serve as the Development Community representative. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments <br />and Appeals. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to nominate Scott Walker and Mr. Moseley moved to <br />nominate William De Soto. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />Walker: Doiron, Moore, Cox, Hernandez, Mihalkanin, Hughson. <br />De Soto: Moseley. <br />Scott Walker will serve as a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Parks and Recreation <br />Advisory Board. Mr. Doiron moved to nominate Patrick Kirwin, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 2.92 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1727 RANCH ROAD 12 FROM <br />"c" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "C-2" HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Doiron moved to deny the adoption of <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A <br />73.543 ACRE TRACT OF UNZONED PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 3800 BLOCK <br />OF I.H. 35 SOUTH AS "c" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Maÿor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the <br />Ordinance and Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM INDUSTRIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR A 5.67 ACRE TRACT OF <br />PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 2400 BLOCK OF I.H. 35 SOUTH AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Moseley moved to adopt the <br />Resolution and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Mihalkanin, Hughson, Doiron, Moore, Moseley, Cox. <br />
