<br />178 <br />Regular Meeting May 10, 1999 Page 3 <br />NAY: Hernandez. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first <br />reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING V ARIOUS PROVISIONS IN CHAPTER 94, ARTICLE 4 OF <br />THE CITY CODE TO UPDATE AND CLARIFY THE SAN MARCOS RIVER <br />CORRIDOR ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for approval of Ordinance <br />on first reading and Mr. Moseley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1998-99 FISCAL <br />YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE <br />PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. Hughson seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 74.088 AND 74.090 OF THE CITY CODE TO <br />PROVIDE FOR APPROVAL OF STREET ABANDONMENTS BY THE CITY <br />COUNCil.., BEFORE APPRAISALS ARE OBTAINED OF THE VALUE OF STREETS <br />TO BE ABANDONED; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />Mr. Doiron moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Moseley seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil.., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION <br />82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY REPEALING ONE-WAY STREET <br />DESIGNATIONS FOR PORTIONS OF GUADALUPE STREET, GROVE STREET <br />AND LYNDON B. JOHNSON DRIVE; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of the Ordinance of first reading and Mr. Cox seconded the <br />motion. Discussion ensued. Mr. Doiron moved to table the item until July of 2000 and Mr. Cox <br />seconded the motion. Discussion ensued. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Cox, Mihalkanin, Doiron. <br />NAY: Moseley, Hernandez, Hughson, Moore. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />
