<br />out collection services as specified under this contract. <br /> <br />1.5.2 Implement a public information program thirty days prior to beginning work and will <br />continue the program throughout the term of the contract. <br /> <br />1.5.3 Pay all costs of the public information program. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.5.4 Make every reasonable effort to serve the customers regardless of errors in <br />customer materials preparation. BFI will notify the City of repeated or gross mistakes on <br />the part of the customers. The City will take such actions or implement such procedures <br />as are reasonably necessary to ensure compliance by its residents with the provisions of <br />this Contract. <br /> <br />1.5.5 Develop and distribute literature to inform affected residents on all aspects of the <br />collection services which will include but not be limited to day of service, materials to be <br />recycled, method of separation/preparation required, distribution of containers for storage <br />placement of containers for collection. BFI will submit all educational literature to the City <br />for its approval prior to distributing it to affected residents. <br /> <br />1.5.6 Report back to the City on an annual basis, the dates and extent of the public <br />information program. <br /> <br />1.5.7 Make available to public schools educational materials regarding BFI's recycling <br />program. <br /> <br />1.5.8 Place a label on each cart provided to residential units identifying BFI as the owner <br />of the cart and providing information on collection procedures. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />I The City will: <br /> <br />2.1 Designate George Boeker, Director of Public Works, to act as the City's authorized <br />representative with respect to this Contract. <br /> <br />2.2 Assist BFI in encouraging customers to comply with regulations by providing <br />instruction, public service contact, and informational materials. The City will contact <br />violators as the need arises. <br /> <br />2.3 Bear all costs incident to this Article. <br /> <br />2.4 Submit statements to and collect from all residential units for services provided by <br />BFI under this Contract, including those accounts that are delinquent. <br /> <br />13 <br />
