REV 9 2_❑
Task 2000: Final Design Phase
1. Schedule, coordinate, and conduct a Final Design kick-off meeting with the COSM and other
appropriate parties to review the recommendations from the Preliminary Engineering report and confirm
the engineering and schedule parameters for the final design phase of the project. It is estimated that
this initial meeting will require approximately 6 hours.
2. Schedule, coordinate, and conduct routine progress meetings with COSM and other appropriate parties
to review the progress of the final design phase. This task is based on the assumption that three (3)
progress meetings will occur, with each meeting requiring approximately 4 hours per meeting.
3. Prepare the necessary exhibits, progress reports, and any other data necessary in support of the COSM
progress meetings.
4. Prepare for and attend up to one Public Meeting to present the project to associated landowners and
other stakeholders. This item includes participation in and preparation of exhibits for one public
meeting, to be scheduled and led by COSM.
5. Prepare and submit monthly invoices and progress reports. The monthly reports will support the
monthly billings. Progress Reports shall include a summary description of the tasks completed as of the
progress report date and will be submitted with invoices on a monthly basis. This task is based on the
assumption that monthly reports will be provided for the duration of the final design, with each report
requiring approximately 1 hour.
6. Prepare Interim (60%, 90%, 99%) Construction plans and specifications for the proposed stormwater
collection system improvements, the improvements to the TxDOT ditch, revised Barbara Drive road
profile, and associated utility relocations. The construction plans set shall include the following:
a. Front End Drawings such as Cover sheet, Index, Quantity Table, and general notes
b. Typical roadway sections
c. Construction Phasing Plan
d. Traffic Control sheets
e. Roadway design
f. Drainage Plans
g. Erosion Control: SWPPP (TxDOT Template)
h. Removal/Demolition plans
i. Signing and pavement marking plan
j. Utility layout
k. Permitting Submittal / Floodplain form
I. Project layout sheet
m. Stormwater plan and profile sheets
n. Standard Details — COSM and COA
o. Specifications, including COSM Div1 and COA standards
P. Project Specific / Special Details
7. Develop an estimate of probable construction cost for the proposed improvements. The cost estimate
will be prepared using AECOM's standard method of estimating. Upon completion of design,
consolidate cost estimate into a format to coincide with the construction bid package.
8. Develop an anticipate construction schedule based on the construction plans and specifications.
Schedule shall include time for bidding, contract award, construction phase, closeout phase, and
warranty phase.
9. Submit four (4) sets of the Interim Review construction plans and specifications. Perform internal
QA/QC on each set prior to submittal. Interim set will be in an 11" x 17" format. This task includes a
meeting with COSM to receive and address comments.
10. Coordinate with TxDOT and submit appropriate permit applications for this work. Coordinate and
receive comments from TxDOT, address comments and resubmit application to obtain construction
permit
