• Incorporate City's comments from preliminary design report and prepare plans at a <br />scale of 1 "=40' on 11 "x17" sheets for multi -use path north of E Hopkins Street <br />• Prepare plans for widening of Charles Austin at E Hopkins Street <br />• Prepare drainage calculations sheets and prepare preliminary drainage layouts for <br />closed system between Charles Austin and Thorpe Lane. <br />• Prepare details for drainage improvements to existing shared use path on south side <br />of Hopkins Street near Thorpe Lane. <br />• If the City selects to reconstruct the sidewalk on the south side of E Hopkins Street, <br />prepare sidewalk plans for the south sidewalk at a scale of 1 "=40' on 11 "x17" sheets. <br />• Prepare Index, Quantity Summary tables and typical sections sheets. <br />• Prepare traffic control plan. Develop construction sequencing and phasing for the <br />project. <br />• Prepare signage and pavement markings plans for the Charles Austin intersection and <br />each pedestrian crossing. <br />• Prepare erosion control sheets, TOOT SW3P Index, and TOOT EPIC sheet. <br />• Prepare preliminary cross sections at 100 -foot maximum intervals. <br />• Determine removal items for existing pavement markings, signs, signal poles and <br />other required infrastructure. Show removal items on pertinent plan sheets. <br />• Existing Signal Conditions sheet will show locations of existing traffic control devices, <br />underground, and overhead utilities at each intersection. <br />• Signal Layout sheet will show the locations of proposed signal poles, pedestrian poles, <br />signal heads, communication equipment, electrical conduits, ground boxes, signal <br />cabinet, new electrical service, existing utilities, right of way, and proposed roadway <br />improvements. Locations of pedestrian poles and pedestrian access ramps will be <br />designed in conformance with ADA requirements. The Engineer will coordinate with <br />the City before finalizing locations of signal poles, where applicable. <br />• Signal Elevation sheet will show placement of signal heads on a mast -arm and vertical <br />clearance required for the mast -arm. <br />• Conduit Chart and Electrical Wiring sheet will show the type and number of electrical <br />wires in each conduit run. A new electrical service will be designed to support total <br />electrical load due to the new traffic signal and safety lighting at the intersection. The <br />electrical service will include two separate circuits for traffic signal and illumination. <br />The Engineer will conduct a field meeting with the City and local electric service <br />provider to determine location of new electrical service. <br />• Phasing & Detection sheet will show the proposed phasing at each intersection. <br />Phasing and signal -heads for left -turn movements will be designed in conformance <br />with 2011 Texas MUTCD. Video detection details for each movement will also be <br />shown. <br />• Due to proximity of a future signal/PHB to the existing signals at E Hopkins St / Charles <br />Austin Dr. and E Hopkins St / CM Allen Pkwy, the Engineer will develop appropriate <br />traffic signal timing plans by time of day for the new signal to fit in the existing <br />coordinated signal system. The Engineer will also develop pedestrian walk and <br />clearance times based on the length of the crosswalks; amber and all -red clearance <br />times based on the posted speed limit. The Engineer will: <br />o Develop traffic simulation model for up to two (2) new intersections using <br />Synchro software tool. <br />
