ARTICLE 11 <br />0113LIGATIONS OF THI Ei PARTIES <br />2.01. Designation of Representatives. Upon execution of this Agreement by both <br />Parties, each Party shall designate one or more representatives responsible for coordinating the <br />various activities under this Agreement. <br />2.02. Coordination and Scheduling. The authorized representatives of the Parties <br />shall schedule meetings, coordinate and communicate with the aim of identifying tasks to be <br />performed and assigning responsibility for such tasks not otherwise specified herein as necessary <br />to determine the feasibility, under mutually beneficial terms, of the Project, <br />2.03. Preliminary Expenses. It is understood by the Parties that each will incur <br />expenses associated with establishing the parameters and feasibility of the Project. The City <br />Manager of the City may authorize expenditures up to $50,000 and the General Manager of <br />.50 <br />CRA may authorize additional expenditures up to $ Expenditures in excess, of <br />5�L ob . <br />such amounts shall be subject to approval of each party's governing body, as applicable. <br />2.04. Consultants and Engineers. The authorized representatives of the Parties shall <br />determine what type of consultants and engineers not available in house are required for the <br />preliminary planning of the Project. Upon determining what consultants and engineers i-nust be <br />retained to plan the Project, the authorized representatives of the Parties shall assign <br />responsibility for solicitation of bids, qualifications or proposals frons such consultants and <br />engineers under applicable laws and for payment of such consultants and engineers. <br />2.05. Preliminary Design. The Project will require construction of a new pipeline and <br />interconnection between CRWA's Martindale water treatment plant and the City's potable water <br />delivery system and may require modifications to the plant's infrastructure.
