responsible for funding the design and construction of the interconnection. In consultation with <br />the mutually approved consultants and engineers, as applicable, the parties shall establish the <br />specifications for all such modifications and facilities associated with the Project, together with <br />the proposed locations for any facilities. responsibility for design and construction of additional <br />interconnections in the future will be mutually agreed upon between the parties. The authorized <br />representatives of the Parties shall also establish cost estimates for all such modifications and <br />facilities. <br />2.06. Ownership of facilities <br />The City and CRWA agree that CRWA, currently operates, maintains, control, and <br />protect, the existing facilities at the Hays Caldwell Water Treatment Plant. Upon completion of <br />any new construction of facilities/infrastructure needed by the City to deliver water to the City's <br />customers, the CRWA will still operate, maintain, control and protect the existing facilities at the <br />Hays Caldwell Treatment Plant. <br />2.07. Land Acquisition. The authorized representatives of the Parties will endeavor to <br />locate any proposed facilities required for the Project within property, rights-of-way and <br />casements already owned by the Parties. However, if the proposed locations for the facilities <br />must be located outside of such areas on land owned by third parties, the authorized <br />representatives of the Paries will retain one or more NMI appraisers to provide appraisals of all <br />property interests or easements that must be acquired to accommodate such facilities. <br />2.08. Rates and Standards for Treated Water. If, after review of all plans, <br />specifications and estimated costs, including land acquisition costs, for execution of the Project, <br />the authorized representatives of the Parties are in agreement that they wish to further participate <br />
