Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Hughson seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously (Ms. Hughson not present to vote on this item). <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOTS 6,7 <br />AND 8 OF BLOCK 5 OF THE VICTORY GARDENS SUBDIVISION, SECTION ONE <br />LOCATED AT 215 ROOSEVELT STREET FROM "M" SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND <br />NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT AND "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no speakers, <br />so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and <br />Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first <br />reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />INCREASING WATER RATES ESTABLISHED UNDER SECTION 86.231 OF THE SAN <br />MARCOS CITY CODE; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no speakers, <br />so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. There were no speakers, <br />so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Doiron moved for approval of the Ordinance on first <br />reading and Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which <br />was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1998-99 FISCAL YEAR TO <br />PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE GREATER SAN MARCOS YOUTH SUMMIT AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Doiron moved to amend the Ordinance to add an additional $1,000.00 and Mr. Cox seconded the <br />motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Doiron, Moore, Moseley, Cox, Hernandez, Mihalkanin. <br />NAY: Hughson. <br />ABSTAIN: None.
