Health Mark Brinkley <br />Also Present: John Cooper, Marsha Cooper, Murlin Evans, John Navarette, <br />Alfonzo Carmona, Frances Plocek, Melissa Millecam, Collette Duran, Vicki <br />Barker, Amelia Rios, Jim Lux, William Ford, Roger Tatum, Fraye Stokes, <br />Kelly Franks, Phil Neighbors, John Cradit, Randall Morris, Chris North and <br />others. <br />~ayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore introduced a citizen comment period. (1) Jim Lux thanked the <br />City Council, the City and the private sector for their support of the <br />Confederate Air Force Air Show. He stated all the living Flying Tigers <br />were present at the show. Mr. Lux stated 1,600 attended the dinner and <br />dance on Saturday during the Air Show Weekend. He said it was not the <br />biggest air show ever held but was the best air show that has been held. <br />The profits from the air show will be spent locally to maintain the <br />planes. Mr. Lux stated he appreciated the community's support of this <br />event. (2) Sherwood Bishop provided the Council a handout regarding a <br />portion of the Subdivision Ordinance relating to the Edwards Aquifer <br />recharge zone and drainage area. He was supportive of a building <br />moratorium until the Development Ordinances Task Force can complete their <br />work of rewriting the Subdivision Ordinance. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Economic Development Council. Mr. Hernande¿ moved to appoint Robert <br />Puente to represent the Neighborhood Association, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Drainage Advisory Board. Mr. Moseley requested this appointment be <br />rescheduled at the next meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to <br />complete a vacancy on the Central Texas Higher Education Authority. Ms. <br />Hughson moved to appoint Dorothy Evans, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of <br />a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.86 ACRE <br />
