Womack <br />City Attorney Mark Taylor <br />Director of Planning Ron Patterson <br />Director of Finance Bill White <br />Director of MIS Ramona Brown <br />Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br />Director of WIC Eddie Ortega <br /> <br />Also Present: Murlin Evans, Frances Oliphant, Amelia Rios, Vicki Barker, <br />John Holtermann, Collette Duran, William Ford, Sue Cohen, Hill Rylander, <br />Melissa Millecam, Mario Gutierrez, Jack Clements, Richard Medina, Randy <br />Rogers, Lupe Carbajal, Matt Dunda and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order ~t 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced the Citizen comment period. (1) Billy Shears, who <br />had signed up to speak, was not present when called upon. (2) Mark Carter <br />stated it was premature to agendize the executive session item regarding <br />the development incentive request for the Holland Street/LBJ Drive area <br />and provided the Council with a handout. (3) Michael Paynter stated he <br />resides at 320 Mary and provided the Council with two petitions from <br />residents of Mary Street and parents who bring children to the day care on <br />Mary Street. He also provided the Council with pictures of some of the <br />neighbor children and a map of the area. He expressed concern for traffic <br />safety of residents of Mary Street and families who bring children to the <br />day care. He requested a 4-way stop sign be placed at Mary and Hutchison <br />and wants this matter agendized for action. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Drainage Advisory Board. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Michael <br />Garner of 125 N. Guadalupe as the Sector 8 representative, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the San Marcos Electric Utility (SMEU) Board. The Council had no <br />nominations and this matter will be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the <br />Convention and Visitors Bureau. Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Sunil Patel <br />as the Hotel Industry representative, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment from <br />the ETJ to the Human Development Commission. There were no nominations <br />and this will be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to <br />the Economic Development Council. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Don Garrett as <br />the San Marcos Board of Realtors representative, which passed unanimously. <br />The remaining appointment will be rescheduled. <br />
