Taylor <br />Ron Patterson <br />Stephen Jenkins <br />Bill White <br />Jack Doughty <br />Bob Higgs <br />Steve Griffith <br />Others Present: Collette Duran, Melissa Millecam, Mario Gutierrez, Bob Ronson, Rodney <br />VanOudekerke, Johnny James, John Holtermann, Ray Hernandez, Susan Narvaiz, Sam Myers, <br />Lupe Castillo, Hector Montenegro, Mary Cauble, Reverend Herman Foster, Joe Castillo, John <br />and Marsha Cooper, David Leder and others. <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the ten-minute citizen comment period. Phil Hutchison, representing <br />Solid Rock Baptist Church, stated he would have a matter before the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission the following evening. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration seven appointments to the Main Street Advisory <br />Board. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to reappoint Mike Dawood and Jana Crystal and Mr. Hart moved <br />to appoint Clarence Miller, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would like to <br />change the Ordinance to three year terms and draw lots so 1/3 of the appointments would expire <br />at one time. Council agreed to review the Ordinance. Mayor Moore requested the other <br />appointments be made at the next Council meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration three appointments to the Construction Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals. Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Kelvin Mills, Michael Gilmore and <br />Jack Eben, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />LOT 1, B.G. COLLIER ADDITION, LOCATED AT 1605 POST ROAD FROM "M" <br />SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "R- <br />1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the <br />Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />* Mr. Guerra present at 8:54 p.m. <br />* * Mr. Cox not present at this meeting.
