113 <br />Regular Meeting April 13, 1998 Page 4 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER BY THE ADDITION OF A <br />TRAFFIC `SIGNAL LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF GUADALUPE STREET <br />(LOOP 82) AND ROOSEVELT STREET; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Hughson seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1997-98 FISCAL <br />YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE AIRPORT FUEL TANK CLEANUP <br />PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Hernandez <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 14.321 OF THE CITY CODE TO REVISE THE <br />COMPOSITION OF THE ELECTRICAL BOARD; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mihalkanin <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION <br />82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY THE ADDITION OF A TWO HOUR <br />PARKING LIMITATION ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE 100 BLOCK OF EAST <br />WOODS STREET, BETWEEN N. GUADALUPE STREET AND N. LYNDON <br />BAINES JOHNSON DRIVE; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Hart moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the consent agenda including approval of the Minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held March 23, 1998, adoption of three Ordinances on third and final <br />reading, adoption of eleven Resolutions, approval of $750.00 from tourist account funds for <br />booth space at the Texas Municipal League Conference, and approval for use of General Fund <br />Contingency Funds in the amount of $3,000.00 as supplemental funding for Combined <br />Community Action, on consensus. The Council removed items 10.C.(1) and 10.C.(4), adoption <br />of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of the Minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held March 23, 1998, adoption of the three Ordinances on third and final <br />reading, to table item 10.C.(9) until later in the meeting (Page 7), adoption of a Resolution, <br />adoption of the remaining eight Resolutions, approval of $750.00 from tourist account funds for <br />booth space at the Texas Municipal League Conference (Ms. Hughson voting Nay on this <br />motion) and approval for use of $3,000.00 in General Fund Contingency Funds for Combined <br />Community Action, on consensus.
