1998 Review Committee Report Page 8
SENIOR CITIZEN FACILITIES ADVISORY BOARD
Reviewed by: Wayland Endsley and Doris Colo-in
The Senior Citizen Facilities Advisory Board is composed of seven members. This Board
advises the City Council and City Manager regarding leisure-time-pursuit facilities for senior
citizens.
Observations
This board provides important support for senior citizens, but one reviewer rated the board's
effectiveness as "fair" because they seemed overly dependent upon city staff for guidance. The
board needs to elect a chair and designate a secretary.
Recommendation
No change
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
Reviewed by: Wayland Endsley and Bryan ALIcClung
The Zoning Board of Adjustments is composed of five regular and two alternate members. This
board considers variances and special exceptions to the development standards established in the
Zoning Ordinance.
Observations
The Zoning Board of Adjustment conducted their meeting in a professional manner and handled
all issues effectively. The members were all present and on time, which allowed the meeting to
be opened at the scheduled time.
Recommendation
No change
