On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Mihalkanin, Guerra, Hernandez. <br />NAY: Hughson, Hart, Moore, Cox. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Motion fails. <br />Mr. Hart moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Ms. Hughson seconded the <br />motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />A YE: Hughson, Hart, Moore, Cox. <br />NAY: Mihalkanin, Guerra, Hernandez. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Motion passes. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration Item 9.B., approval of an Ordinance on second <br />reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCil., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE 4, WRECKERS, OF CHAPTER 90, VEHICLES FOR <br />HIRE, OF THE CITY CODE TO DIVIDE THE ARTICLE INTO TWO DIVISIONS, <br />ONE CONSISTING OF CURRENT REGULATIONS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />INITIATED TOWS; AND THE OTHER BEING A NEW DIVISION REGULATING <br />THE RATES FOR NONCONSENT TOWS FROM PRIVATE PARKING FACil.,ITIES; <br />SETTING THE MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF THESE RATES; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Guerra moved to table the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. Hernandez seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration Item 11.B., adoption of a Resolution, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF RELAYED <br />SUBSTATION RECLOSERS TO ; AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hart moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. Mayor Moore <br />explained there was a tie bid and the Council was to draw lots for the award. The Council <br />awarded the bid to KBS Electrical Distributors, Inc. Mr. Hart amended his motion to add KBS <br />Electrical Distributors, Inc., to the blanks in the Resolution and Mr. Cox seconded his motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />
