She stated the Planning and Zoning Commission needs to look at rules and regulations fairly. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Human Development Commission. No nominations were made and this will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 1.775 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2420 HUNTER ROAD, FROM" C" (COMMERCIAL DIS'I'RICT) TO "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing.
