Regular Meeting June 11, 2001 Page 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, IN SUPPORT OF THE GUADALUPE-BLANCO RIVER AUTHORITY'S REQUEST TO THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION TO AMEND CANYON PERMIT CERTIFICATE OF ADJUDICATION NO. 18-2074 AND URGING IMMEDIATE ISSUANCE OF THE PERMIT AMENDMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 17 removed from the consent agenda, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE 5, PDD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, OF CHAPTER 94, DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, OF THE CITY CODE TO UPDATE AND SIMPLIFY CITY REGULATIONS FOR PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson asked Mr. Theriot if the guidelines had been prepared. Mr. Theriot stated they had not been completed, would be determined by the Planning and Zoning Commission and would not go before the Council for consideration. Ms. Hughson asked where the public participation results would be used, and Mr. Theriot responded they would be used by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Ms. Hughson then moved to table this Ordinance until later in the meeting for amendment language and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which pa.ssed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 22 removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT BASIN COVER PROJECT TO DYNAMIC SOLUTIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion. Mr. Cox asked if this would solve the odor problem, and Mr. Gilley stated no, and advised the Council this is to control algae growth. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 27 removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN EMERGENCY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH DU-MOR ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR THE HUGHSON HEIGHTS WASTEWATER REHABILITATION PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
