Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of seven appointments to the Charter Review Commission. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Augustin Lucio, Ms. Tatum moved to appoint Ted Hindson and Mayor Chiu moved to appoint Yolanda Quintanilla, which was passed unanimously. The remaining appointments will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Ken Moss, Mr. Mayhew moved to reappoint Jane Wilson, and Mr. Cox moved to reappoint Gary Gooch, which passed unanimously. Ken Moss will serve as Alternate 2 and Fraye Stokes moves to the Alternate 1 position. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.015 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE FROM "LB" LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one wished to speak, so Mayor Chiu closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson asked Mr. Patterson if the road between the two Limited Business Districts was a private road, and if the Starplex Theater has access from Leah Drive to Wonder World Drive. Mr. Patterson stated the road was private, which belonged to the Starplex Theater, and most of the property is off Leah Drive which has access to Wonder World Drive. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance.
