Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 114.578 OF THE ZONING CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE TO REVISE REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SPECIFIC USE PERMITS IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS AREA ZONING DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Ms. Hughson made a motion for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance on third and final reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson moved to amend the Ordinance such that the number of restricted permits to be lowered from 15 to 12, Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, whichpassed unanimously.. The Council then voted unanimously for the adoption of the Zoning Ordinance on third and final reading.
