(1) Carol Coughlin, <br />Chair of the Human Development Commission, stated they held their first <br />Youth Hall of Fame on Saturday. She thanked the City staff who were <br />involved for their help, Debbie Dietz and William Ford, and thanked Craig <br />Corbin for all his work with the Youth Summit. There were seven <br />finalists, and three were inducted into the first Youth Hall of Fame. <br />They were Casey May, Nick Moore and Mark Mascada. The other finalists <br />were Justin Carino, Zane Childress, Edward DeLeon and Ryan Toro. (2) Will <br />Thompson was not present to speak. (3) Rolland Hesalroad of the Castle <br />Forest Neighborhood thanked the Council and City for the cleanup held in <br />their neighborhood last Saturday. Mr. Hesalroad stated they worked all <br />morning long with the cleanup. (4) George VonderLippe stated the Council <br />will make an important appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />during this meeting and recommended John Thomaides for the position. He <br />stated Mr. Thomaides would give balance to the Commission. Mr. <br />VonderLippe stated the University of Texas helped Mexico design a city <br />made up of traditional neighborhoods with walking and bike paths to <br />
