The Juneteenth Committee is interested in the City providing some assistance for the use of facilities at the Activity Center and City Park, trash removal and the use of chairs, tables and tents. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Senior Citizen Advisory Board. Mr. Mayhew moved to appoint Kaye Wilke, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Youth Commission to complete a vacancy. Diaz, representing the Hispanic Chamber vacancy, which passed unanimously. approval of one appointment to the Mr. Cox moved to appoint John of Commerce, to complete the Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Human Development Commission. This appointment will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. This appointment will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Drainage Advisory Board from Sector 6. This appointment will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Sesquicentennial Committee. There are presently 15 members serving, and Mr. Doiron stated the appointments of two additional members are needed. Mr. Moseley moved to appoint Ofelia Vasquez-Philo, who was recommended by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Doiron moved to appoint Lupe Vasquez, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Human Services Advisory Board. This appointment will be rescheduled. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the appointment of two alternates. The Council stated they would first make an appointment to complete the vacancy on the Commission. Mr. Doiron moved to appoint Kevin Brumley (ETJ) and Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Bill DeSoto (City).
