Regular Meeting March 26, 2001 Page 6 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 58, PUBLIC FACILITIES, PARKS AND RECREATION, OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO ADD A NEW SECTION 58.071 REGARDING RIVER ACTIVITIES NEAR AREAS OF BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider this Ordinance. The caption of this Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 13.01 ACRE TRACT OF UNZONED PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 5300 BLOCK OF IH35 SOUTH AND EXTENDING EAST AND SOUTHEAST TO THE HENK ADDITION LOCATED ALONG FRANCIS HARRIS ROAD AS "A-RH (AGRICULTURAL-RANCH DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration the consent agenda, which includes approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 5, 2001, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of fourteen Resolutions, approval to transfer $1,261.00 from Economic Development (line item) to Computer Equipment (line item) to purchase a new computer for the Mayor's Office, and approval of Change Order in the amount of $48,230.00 for the Construction of Bishop, Belvin Street 12H Wastewater and Miscellaneous Water Transmission Improvements. The City Council removed Items 20, 23 and 29 to be considered separately. Mr. Doiron moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 5, 2001, for adoption of the two Ordinances on third and final reading, for adoption of the remaining twelve Resolutions, approval of the Change Order in the amount of $48,230.00 for the Construction of Bishop, Belvin Street 12H Wastewater and Miscellaneous Water Transmission Improvements and to amend Item 19, adoption of a Resolution, in Part 2. to change the amount to "$977.00,H and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 62.027 OF THE CITY CODE TO ALLOW THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO SET TIMES FOR THE PROVISION OF FINGERPRINTING SERVICES; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADDING A NEW DIVISION 18 TO CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 3 OF THE CITY CODE TO ESTABLISH A TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY BOARD; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS.
