The Engineer will review standard details, and modify <br />details as necessary to meet project-specific requirements, and include modifications in the plan <br />drawings. The Engineer will prepare detailed drawings to include street crossings; and other <br />drawings and any details necessary for the construction contractor to complete the Project. <br />1.2.6 Prepare construction drawings that meet the following requirements: <br />a) Ledger-size plans (11 inch x 17 inch); <br />b) Plan and profile drawings at 1 inch = 100 or 50 feet horizontal and 1 inch = 10 or 5 <br />feet vertical; and <br />c) Plan view drawings with the location of the improvements and other pertinent data, <br />along with existing structures, trees, utilities, rights-of-way, property lines, tax lot <br />identification numbers, addresses, and easements will be shown. <br />1.2.7 Prepare and submit all paperwork necessary for the City to obtain all applicable permits <br />and approvals from the appropriate agencies affected by the Project prior to construction. In <br />addition, the Engineer will assist the City in obtaining approvals and permits from: <br />b) Neighboring electric utilities; <br />c) Union Pacific Railroad ("UPR"); and <br />d) Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") <br />1.2.8 Prepare specifications in LCRA, Rural Utilities Service ("RUS") and the City of San <br />Marcos electrical construction specification format, as applicable, and as directed by the City to <br />include the bid document in Word format, special provisions, and technical specifications. <br />1.2.9 Provide the following deliverables for Task 1.2: <br />a) Preliminary Report; <br />b) Technical Memorandum; <br />c) Preliminary design plan view sheets at 60% and 90%; <br />d) Preliminary design standard details at 60% and 90%; and <br />e) Preliminary design specifications at 90%. <br />1.2.10 Notify City's Project Manager of any conflicts or potential conflicts with proposed design <br />with existing and proposed utilities, right-of-way, and encroachments that would delay <br />construction. <br />1.2.11 For Projects constructed by City crews, participate in plan reviews, specification reviews, <br />ordinance review and other administrative tasks, as assigned. <br />1.2.12 Not have control or charge of and will not be responsible for construction means, <br />methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in <br />connection with the work. <br />1.2.13 At all times have access to the work wherever it is in preparation or progress. <br />M&S Agreement 2009
