Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern Hughson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Ms. Hughson introduced a public hearing regarding an Annexation Ordinance, the caption which reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 1,253 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, INCLUDING LAND IN THE VICINITY OF THE 2400-3000 BLOCKS OF HUNTER ROAD AND THE 100-500 BLOCKS OF MCCARTY LANE, AND THE WILLOW CREEK, RIDGE AT WILLOW CREEK, RIDGE AT STONE CLIFF, LAUREL ESTATES, TURKEY HOLLOW AND QUARRY SPRINGS SUBDIVISIONS (SOUTHWEST SAN MARCOS TRACT); APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Hughson opened the public hearing and asked the speakers who were signed up to speak to line up and be prepared to approach the podium to speak.
