James Frye of the San <br />Marcos Fire Department advised the Council the firefighters had collected <br />$11,500.00 in San Marcos to help the New York City Fire Department and <br />their families for their losses sustained in the September 11, 2001 <br />terrorist attacks on the United States. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment <br />Youth Commission. There were no nominations, and this will be <br />rescheduled. Mr. Mihalkanin requested the City Manager contact the <br />District to provide a name to fill this positiono <br /> <br />to the <br /> <br />School <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to <br />the Human Services Advisory Board. Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Sonya <br />Lopez (Social Service Degree) and appoint Terry Pacheco, which passed <br />unanimously. The remaining appointment will be rescheduled. <br />
