Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Judy Allen, which passed unanimously. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Library Board. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Donna Swinney, which passed unanimously. The next item on the agenda, approval of one appointment to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board did not need to be considered by the Council, as Ms. Tatum indicated she wanted to stay on this Board. Mayor Chiu introduced a public hearing regarding an Annexation Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 15.31 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE 1600-1700 BLOCKS OF POST ROAD (BERRY TRACT); APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Montoya stated he had filed a disclosure affidavit-real property with the City Clerk and left the meeting room. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak.
