City Council Meeting Minutes June 18, 2019 <br />amended. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, Mayor <br />Hughson, Council Member Mihalkanin, Council Member Marquez and Council <br />Member Rockeymoore <br />Against: 0 <br />27. Consider approval, by motion, of the appointment to fill the Animal Welfare Organization <br />position on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee, and provide direction to staff. <br />Mayor Hughson nominated Dale Nave to serve as the Animal Welfare <br />Organization Representative on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee. <br />Following a roll call vote Dale Nave was unanimously approved for <br />appointment. <br />28. Discuss and consider appointments to fill the vacant positions of one Media <br />Representative and one Health Care Industry Representative on the Census 2020 <br />Complete Count Committee, and provide direction to staff. <br />Council Member Derrick nominated Ida Miller to serve as a Healthcare <br />Representative and Council Member Rockeymoore nominated Lance Winter <br />to serve as a Media Representative on the Census 2020 Complete Count <br />Committee. Following a roll call vote Ida Miller and Lance Winter were <br />unanimously approved for appointment. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />29. Executive Session in accordance with the following Government Code Sections: <br />A. Section § 551.071 - Consultation with Attorney: to receive a staff briefing and <br />deliberate regarding Martindale ETJ matters and Project Big Hat <br />B. Section § 551.087 - Economic Development: to receive a staff briefing and deliberate <br />regarding Project Big Hat <br />No Executive Session was needed this evening. <br />RETURN FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />30. Consider action, by motion, regarding the following Executive Session items held during <br />the Work Session and/or Regular Meeting: <br />A. Section § 551.071 - Consultation with Attorney: to receive a staff briefing and <br />deliberate regarding Martindale ETJ matters and Project Big Hat <br />B.
