Proposed 2019-2022 Meet and Confer Agreement <br />Between the San Marcos Police Officers' Association and the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />7. Motorcycle patrol duty. <br />8. Mental health officer duty <br />9. SWAT <br />10. Crisis Negotiating Team <br />11. Collision investigation team <br />C. Compensation: <br />1. Assignment Pay is $160 per month. <br />2. Maximum Amount / Cap: Officers are eligible to receive pay for only one assignment at any given <br />time. For example, the assignment pay amount is capped at the amount for one assignment. <br />Should the amounts be different, the cap will be the highest single amount. <br />This section is repealed and replaced by revised Section 5, Additional Compensation/Pay, shown below, <br />effective October 1, 2020. <br />Section S. Additional Compensation/Pay — Effective October 1, 2020. <br />A. Officers who have successfully completed their probationary period and hold the rank of police officer, <br />corporal or sergeant and may be assigned by the Chief to perform Special Duties. Special duties shall be <br />on an as needed basis by the Chief in his or her sole discretion. <br />B. Categories and compensation: <br />1. Assigned Duty and Compensation: An official "duty assignment" as referred to in this section is a <br />full-time assignment within the department normally tasked with supporting other divisions of the <br />department. <br />a. K-9 Duty $160 monthly <br />b. Downtown Duty $160 monthly <br />c. Mental Health Officer Duty $100 monthly <br />Eligible for one assigned duty/compensation from Section 5(13)(1) Assigned duty and <br />compensation. <br />2. Field Training Officer Assignment: An official "duty assignment" as referred to in this section which <br />is for a limited duration. Compensated at $20 per shift. <br />3. Extra Duty Assignment: The category of an "Extra Duty Assignment" is one where the officer can <br />work in any area or division and agrees to take on extra work or duties that require additional <br />training and dedication to various department missions. These "Extra" duties are secondary in <br />nature to the officer's primary assignment and voluntary in nature. <br />a. SWAT $150 monthly <br />b. Drone Team $75 monthly <br />c. Collision Investigation Team $75 monthly <br />d. Negotiator (CNT) $75 monthly <br />PAGE 8 <br />
