Regular Meeting January 24, 2000 Page 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2.332 OF THE CITY CODE TO ADD TWO MEMBERS TO THE AIRPORT COMMISSION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, and Mr. Moseley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1999-2000 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE GARY JOB CORPS FORCE MAIN AND TREATED WATER MAIN PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Moseley moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Airport Commission. Ms. Hughson moved to table these appointments until the Ordinance amendment is adopted on third reading and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider the Ordinance. The caption of the Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.299 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5001 I.H.35 SOUTH, FROM "AR" (AGRICULTURAL-RANCH DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 10, 2000, approval of three Ordinances on second reading, adoption of four Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of twelve Resolutions (includes Addendum), approval of use of Tourist Account funds in the amount of $1,000.00 for the Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos, and approval of Change Order No. 1 to the Gary Job Corps Force Main and Treated Water Main Project in the amount of $75,187.00 on consensus. The Council removed Items 10.B.(2), approval of an Ordinance on second reading, 10.D.(3) and 10.D.(6), adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 10, 2000, for approval of the remaining two Ordinances on second reading, for adoption of the four Ordinances on third and final reading, for adoption of the remaining ten Resolutions (includes Addendum), approval of use of Tourist Account funds in the amount of $1000.00 (Mr. Mihalkanin abstaining to this item), and approval of Change Order No. 1 to the Gary Job Corps Force Main and Treated Water Main Project in the amount of $75,187.00 on consensus and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Mihalkanin abstaining to Item 10.E.). The captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: Approval of Ordinances on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TABLE OF POLICE OFFICER POSITIONS UNDER CITY CODE SECTION 2.373; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1999-2000 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR RENOVATIONS AT THE GREATER SAN MARCOS AREA SENIORS ASSOCIATION FACILITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
