Regular Meeting February 28, 2000 Page 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION FOR CHILD CARE FUNDING IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY SUMMER FUN PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE CAPITAL AREA PLANNING COUNCIL FOR THE PSAP MAINTENANCE, EQUIPMENT UPGRADE AND TRAINING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration, Item 8.13(1), approval of an Ordinance on second reading, removed from the consent agenda, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE AMOUNTS OF FEES FOR VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moseley seconded the motion, Ms. Hughson moved to amend Section 2, Outside City Limits, Administrative minor plat to add "$1,875 max."; Minor plat to add "1,875 max." and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration, Item 8.D(4), adoption of a Resolution, removed from the consent agenda, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF SEVENTEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SPECIAL PURSUIT VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE STATE GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS WITH THE STATE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson stated the vehicles should be bought instead of leasing them because the amount of interest that is paid is far more than to purchase these vehicles. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Item 8.1)(5), adoption of a Resolution was tabled. The caption reads as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE RECLAIMED WATER PUMP STATION PROJECT TO BRYAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
