<br />67. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />March 27, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE RESALE OF A PARCEL OF PROPERTY THAT WAS <br />FORECLOSED FOR UNPAID TAXES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Resolution and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion. Mr. <br />Hernandez stated Mr. Flores owns the parcels on either side of this parcel which is too small to <br />be developed separately. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution <br />(Mr. Moseley not in the Council Chambers at this time). <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tern Mihalkanin introduced for consideration, Item 12.D.(7), adoption of a <br />Resolution, removed from the consent agenda, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A LEASE- <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND RELATED INSTRUMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND THE HOUSTON COMMUNITY BANK, N.A. TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF PUBLIC SAFETY COMPUTER HARDW ARE; DETERMINING <br />OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the five Resolutions {12.D.(7), 12.D.(14), 12.D.(15), <br />12.D.(16) and 12.D.(17)} and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson asked why the <br />City is leasing and not purchasing equipment for items 12.D.(7), 12.D.(14), 12.D.(15), 12.D.(16) <br />and 12.D.(17)? Mr. Gilley stated a portion of the leased funds are in place and we are <br />anticipating the remaining lease payment to come from the General Fund. Ms. Hughson stated <br />that five years is too long to pay on for computer hardware and software. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Hughson, Doiron, Moseley, Cox, Hernandez. <br /> <br />NA Y: Mihalkanin. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />The captions of the remaining four Resolutions included for adoption read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH COMPUTER INFORMATION <br />SYSTEMS, INc. FOR A RECORD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, COMPUTER AIDED <br />DISPATCH AND MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 94 ORACLE 8i ENTERPRISE EDITION <br />LICENSES FROM DATABASE CONSULTANTS, INC. THROUGH THE STATE <br />GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION'S CATALOGUE PURCHASING <br />PROCEDURE; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO COMPAQ SERVERS FROM <br />COMPAQ THROUGH THE ST ATE GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION'S <br />CATALOGUE PURCHASING PROCEDURE; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
