Chris North, Neighborhood <br /> Representative from the Westover Neighborhood Association, stated the neighborhood began <br /> campaigning for a park in 1996 and it has been a rewarding process. The neighborhood now has <br /> two parks available off Prospect Street. She would like to thank the Council for parks and green <br /> space and would like to thank Mayor Moore and Mr. Mihalkanin for their dedication and support <br /> to the community. 2. Willa Glesener stated she is in the fifth grade and is currently attending <br /> Hernandez School. She recited a poem composed by her to the Mayor and Council. 3. Joe <br /> Schneider stated he would like to speak at a later time regarding Item 6.B., an Ordinance on <br /> second reading regarding obstructions in alleys. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Drainage Advisory Board. <br /> Mr. Doiron moved to appoint Shaune Maycock to fill a vacancy for the At-Large Position, which <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Human Services Advisory <br /> Board. Mr. Moseley moved to appoint Judith Williams to fill a vacancy, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Cemetery Commission. <br /> Mayor Moore moved to appoint Dwayne Thomason to fill a vacancy, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Downtown Parking Advisory <br /> Committee. Mr. Moseley moved to appoint John Megerson as a representative of Southwest <br /> Texas State University. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Hernandez, Hughson, Moore, Moseley, Cox. <br /> NAY: Doiron. <br />
