<br /> Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
<br /> The Council canvassed the results of the General and Special Election held May 6, 2000.
<br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption
<br /> which was read as follows:
<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCll., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE
<br /> GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 6, 2000 FOR THE PURPOSE
<br /> OF ELECTING A MAYOR, A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE 5, AND A CITY
<br /> COUNCll., MEMBER, PLACE 6 AND SUBMITTING PROPOSITIONS TO THE
<br /> VOTERS REGARDING CITY CHARTER AMENDMENTS AND THE PURCHASE
<br /> OF THE AQUARENA SPRINGS PROPERTY FROM SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE
<br /> UNIVERSITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the Ordinance and to amend Section 3.A. to add the name of
<br /> "David Chiu", to amend Section 3.B. to add the name of "Paul Mayhew", to amend Section 3.c.,
