Taylor <br /> Municipal Court Judge Ross Allegro <br /> Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br /> Director of Finance Bill White <br /> Also Present: Patsy Mayhew, Sarah Alvarez, Frances Oliphant, Francis Serna, Melissa Millecam, <br /> Gil Peyton, Sharon Chiu, Brittney Chiu, Tiffany Chiu, Ray Hernandez, Nick Iccosipentarhos, <br /> Rosemary Iccosipentarhos, Betty Kissler, Mo Johnson, Bill Cunningham, Lupe Costilla, Becky <br /> Sierra, Renate Yanity, Murlin Evans, Gwen Smith, John Tatsch, Mike Narvaiz, Jr., Susan <br /> Narvaiz, Allyn Gill, Reece Morrison, Joe Castillo, Albert Sierra, Bill Fly, Hector Montenegro, <br /> Sherri Russell, Jim Byrn, Paul Buntyn and others. <br /> Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> The Council canvassed the results of the General and Special Election held May 6, 2000. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption <br /> which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCll., OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE <br /> GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 6, 2000 FOR THE PURPOSE <br /> OF ELECTING A MAYOR, A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE 5, AND A CITY <br /> COUNCll., MEMBER, PLACE 6 AND SUBMITTING PROPOSITIONS TO THE <br /> VOTERS REGARDING CITY CHARTER AMENDMENTS AND THE PURCHASE <br /> OF THE AQUARENA SPRINGS PROPERTY FROM SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE <br /> UNIVERSITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the Ordinance and to amend Section 3.A. to add the name of <br /> "David Chiu", to amend Section 3.B. to add the name of "Paul Mayhew", to amend Section 3.c., <br /> Proposition No.1, Votes for "1483", Votes against "469; to amend Proposition No.2, Votes for <br /> "1521", Votes against "440"; Proposition No.3, Votes for" 1290", Votes against "799; <br /> Proposition No.4, Votes for "1168", Votes against "787"; Proposition No.5, Votes for "1217", <br /> Votes against "643"; Proposition No.6, Votes for "1407", Votes against "607"; Proposition No. <br /> 7, Votes for "1504", Votes against "391"; Proposition No.8, Votes for "1523", Votes against <br /> "436"; Proposition No.9, Votes for "1822", Votes against "190"; Proposition No. 10, Votes for <br /> "1305", Votes against "594"; Proposition No. 11, Votes for "1543", Votes against "341"; <br /> Proposition No. 12, Votes for "1608", Votes against "291"; Proposition No. 13, Votes for <br /> "1353", Votes against "573"; Proposition No. 14, Votes for "1419", Votes against "462"; <br /> Proposition No. 15, Votes for "1348", Votes against "750"; and to attach the precinct tabulation <br /> results as a part of the Ordinance and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed <br />
