Hopkins - Work Session <br />I. Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the work session meeting of the San Marcos City <br />Council was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday, <br />November 19, 2019 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San <br />Marcos, <br />Texas 78666. <br />:. • <br />Council Member Marquez arrived after roll call at 3:05 p.m. <br />Present: 7- Council Member Saul Gonzales, Council Member Melissa Derrick, Mayor Jane <br />Hughson, Mayor Pro Tem Ed Mihalkanin, Council Member Joca Marquez, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Mark Rockeymoore and Council Member Maxfield Baker <br />1. Receive a presentation and hold a discussion on the Public Services Center, and provide <br />direction to the City Manager. <br />Bert Lumbreras, City Manager provided a brief introduction of this item and <br />Tom Taggart, Executive Director of Public Services provided the presentation. <br />Mr. Taggart presented the following items: <br />Location/Size of Property/Conceptual Layout - The property is located at <br />Clovis Barker and FM 110 and will house a total of 244 staff members in the <br />year 2021. <br />Occupancy/Functional Benefits - Along with the 244 Staff members that will be <br />housed at this location, there will be a total center parking of 647 spots. This <br />will allow for employee parking, visitor parking, fleet vehicle/equipment <br />parking, and parking for maintenance and repair. There will be a warehouse, <br />enclosed storage, covered storage, and and an open laydown area for utility <br />poles, light poles, and ductile pipe. <br />Mr. Taggart discussed the service enhancements and efficiencies in having a <br />co -located dispatch/administrative/inventory and tech support in one area: <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
