Cox, Jr. <br /> Paul Mayhew <br /> Martha Castex Tatum <br /> City Manager * Larry Gilley <br /> Deputy City Manager Laura Huffman <br /> City Clerk Janis K. Womack <br /> City Attorney Mark Taylor <br /> Director of Public Works Richard Mendoza <br /> Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br />Also Present: Sarah Alvarez, Viola Stillman, Dan Praver, Merlin Evans, <br />Tom Wassenich, Dianne Wassenich, Collette Duran, Sherri Russell, Jim Byrn, <br />Bob Mooney, John Holtermann, Joe Gonzales, Richard Garza, Richard Medina, <br />Kyle Hahn, Mike Beaty, George Forrester, Gloria Arney, Fraye Stokes and <br />others. <br />Mayor Chiu called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the citizen comment period. (1) Viola Stillman <br />stated parking is not being enforced this summer in the downtown area and <br />only one part-time position is working to enforce parking. (2) Dianne <br />Wassenich requested the Council remove Item 10.D. (2) (Resolution-Agreement <br />related to Bishop's Crossing Subdivision) on this agenda from consent to <br />consider separately. She wanted to know why the City would provide <br />incentives for development over the recharge zone. She stated she was <br />concerned the City was abandoning property in Item 7 (appraisal for <br />exchange of r-o-w to abandon property LBJ/Guadalupe) that might be used as <br />trails to link up neighborhoods later. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to <br />the Youth Commission. Mr. Moseley moved to appoint Andrew Barrera <br />(student), Wayne Thompson (clergy), and Rob Ryan Rodriguez (adult at <br />large) and Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Carol Peters (adult at large). On <br />roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />* Mr. Gilley not present at this meeting. <br />
