<br />10. <br />Regular Meeting September 25, 2000 Page 10 <br />language. Ms. Huffman stated Staff would look at the unrelated persons <br />issue and the parking issue. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the Deputy City Manager's Report. Ms. Huffman <br />stated the City is in its second year overlay program and the City has <br />completed 18.62 miles. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the City Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor had no <br />report at this meeting. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. Mayhew stated he <br />wants to transfer the balance of the budget line item into an account to <br />be used for the relocation of the Merriman Cabin. (2) Ms. Hughson <br />requested the Council draw for their EDC positions. Mr. Doiron will <br />appoint a resident, Mr. Moseley will appoint an Industrial Foundation <br />representative, Ms. Hughson will appoint a Council Member, Mayor Chiu will <br />appoint an Hispanic Chamber representative and a Council Member, Mr. Cox <br />will appoint a Neighborhood representative, Mr. Mayhew will appoint a <br />Board of Realtors position, and Ms. Tatum will appoint a Council Member. <br />This will be scheduled for the next Council Meeting. (3) Ms. Hughson <br />asked Staff to provide a report how the downtown parking enforcement is <br />going to work. Ms. Huffman stated Staff is working with SWT to provide <br />temporary help until our employees are back fulltime. (4) Mr. Cox stated <br />the issue needs to be addressed with SWT regarding their restriction on <br />students who have received a certain number of tickets not being allowed <br />to continue parking on campus.
